Learning is a dynamic process, and it’s alright to make mistakes. Mistakes are opportunities for growth.
Linda’s Story
Teaching Discipline
Chemistry
Why Chemistry
The possibilities for inquiry and discovery are endless. Students learn by observing the world around them and linking their experiences to broader concepts. They actively engage in making predictions, observing outcomes, and building explanations. I chose to teach chemistry to hep students gain a deep understanding of the connection between microscopic interactions and macroscopic properties.
Professional Experience
While at NYU, Linda worked as a tutor at America Reads and Counts. Then, at Teachers College, she was a student teacher at Robert F. Wagner Middle School and Bay Ridge Preparatory School. Linda was also a teaching assistant in General Chemistry at Barnard College for three years. Linda has finished her second year teaching Physics and electives in Chemistry and Public Health at Little Red Schoolhouse & Elisabeth Irwin High School (LREI). She also works as the faculty advisor for LREI’s community service organization, Engage for Change. She supports the students as they plan service events.
Linda will start her third year teaching Physics and Chemistry at LREI in New York City in the 2024-2025 school year.

In her free time, Linda loves getting a matcha latte and going for long walks in Central Park. She is also currently training for a half marathon.
