Carl Armstrong teaches science at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. He is also a Climate & Equity Fellow with TERC and the author of the climate fiction novel, “They Left One Tree.” Additionally, he has written for the Library of Congress’s TPS program & the Illinois State Board of Education’s Illinois Science Assessment. Carl has presented at the Northern Illinois Science Educators’ conference several times, and also presented at NABT 2024 in Anaheim, CA. He is currently working on his second novel and writes poetry when inspiration strikes.
